I am supposed to take 30 mEq of potassium. How many 100mg pills of potassium is that?

  1. That would depend on what form the potassium is in.  If it is potassium bicarbonate, then 100 mg of that is 1 mEq of potassium, so you'd have to take like 30 pills. If it is in the form of potassium chloride, for example, then 75 mg is 1 mEq and you'd have to take about 23 pills to get your 30 mEq.


  2. Dude, probably not a good place to get such an answer.  I have no idea, but whatever best answer you pick as best, be sure to ask the drug dealer in the white jacket before munching on some potassium.  I don't know ya but I'd still hate to hear you o/d on Pt.
