As far as providers in the United States, it would be

1) ATT

2) T-Mobile

The main cellular technology used in most parts of the world is GSM tecnology. Both ATT and T-Mobile are GSM

Verizon and Sprint use a technology called CDMA which is mainly used in North America. Although there are a few countrys that have CDMA, for the most part, the world runs off GSM. Verizon and Sprint are good if you just stay in North America but if you travel to Europe and Asia, you would not have service

ATT would be #1 for the following reasons,
