  1. Go to xe.com it will give you the current exchange rate.

Have a nice time in Thailand!

  2. Today 1 U.S.D. equals 33.425 Thai Baht.  The copyright laws in Thailand are very relaxed/not existent.  You will be able to buy a ton of c**p for really cheap.  The last time I was there the dollar was a lot stronger, now it might not buy as much.

  3. 5 to one last time I was there, I beleive maybe even more

  4. what are cheques?

  5. Go to Yahoo Finance - Currency to find out

  6. Look up THBUSD of USDTHB on google anytime of day or night and you can know instantly.  Don't take travellers cheques.  Noone there is going to want them and you are going to be stuck penniless.  Take a Visa or Mastercard ATM card with you.  Thailand has access to those services and you can withdraw your money from your bank account in BAHT.  If you are worried about having no money when you arrive, buy some at the airport with US Dollars.  Be aware that airport exchange service is a little more pricey than it should be.
