  1. I would take the side.  The end of the ship has a tendicy to be more bumpy.

  2. We have been both. The rear was beautiful as you can see where you've been but it also was messy. The people above us always threw cigarette butts and swizzle sticks down plus the smoke stacks had a constant stream of black smoke that rested on our balcony and chairs.

The sides are more smooth and unless you have a life boat in your view it's pretty nice.

    Have Fun......

  3. Take the side if possible but make sure it is not an obstructed or partially obstructed view. We just got back from a Cruise and although we were assured we would be able" to see out but not down" all we saw for 8 days was the side of lifeboat #12 and the catwalk the employees walked on all the time to check the lifeboats. We couldn't even keep the window open because we didn't know when someone would walk by. Have a great time

  4. The closer you are to the center of the ship, the less wave-action you'll feel. The ends will dip up and down more than the sides. But if you aren't bothered by seasickness, and the cabins on the side are far forward or aft, you may as well take the end - I think you'll have a better view.

  5. ive been on 4 and i would say try for on the side !

and you could go to the back and watch leaving from port to port!!!

    good luck =]]]]

  6. If you are offered an aft cabin, take it!  They are premium without the premium price.  They are usually bigger with a much nicer balcony and a better view.  Otherwise, being in the middle will get you less movement and easier access to everything on the ship.
