I am taking a cruise next year and we are stopping ..........?

Question

in Venice, Bari, Corfu, Santorini,

Mykonos, Piraeus, Athens, Katakolol, Olimpia, and also

Dubrovnik Croatia....does anyone know of a few MUST see local places that I just can't miss? Would love to see where the locals go and only have about 5 hours per stop. Thanks!

Venice is a must place to see anyway! The entire city is magic.

Bari: maybe the Castello, the seaside area where you can walk, buy souvenirs etc. The church of St. Sabinus.

Corfu: Achilleion ( the summer Palace of Sissy - Bavarian Empress) - down town - the Old Fortress, the Pontikonissi ( Mouse-island)

Santorini: a fantastic island so unique, the white houses, a volcanic island.

Mykonos: another Cyclades island, full of life, the windmills, the parties, the white houses again

Piraeus: nothing to see apart from going to Mikrolimano and eat sea food - maybe you can take the train-metro to go to Athens - city centre and go to Monastiraki, Ancient Agora ( Market) the Parthenon, Syntagma square.

Katakolon is the port in Pyrgos, it's nice and small and the main atraction is the ancient city of Olympia.

I haven't been to Dubrovnik but l 've heard it's a wonderful place , very touristic, you can see the mixture of slavic characteristics - latin - Autrian.
