I am taking a poll- What do you consider to be rude?

I have lived over 50 years and over the past 30 years I have been amazed at what people find rude.

In some cutlers Please and Thank you are a foreign concept.

Some people feel that picking their teeth at the table is rude.

Some think that cleaning your nails at the table is rude.

Some people feel that being told they do not need to say anything else on a subject because the other person already knows what they are going to say is rude.

What do you think is rude?

  1. I just as many other Americans think being pushed forcefully or forcefully "bumped into" without an apology is completely rude, if not a threatening action.

I also find "breaking wind" in public extremely rude (especially when in an enclosed area such as an elevator).

When someone "horks up a loogie" at the table or belches loudly without at least saying "excuse me" is extremely rude.

When someone gives you the "eye" or the "look" anywhere, anytime or acts disgusted by your presence when you have never met or spoken to said person ever before.

I used to think it was rude to blow your nose at the table, but I was informed by Miss Manners that it was perfectly fine etiquette.
