If we stay in San Juan it will be at the SJ Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino and in Farjardo at the El Conquistador. We will want to see things, golf, hit the beach, kayak the luminescent bay and relax. Any suggestions, thoughts comments on anything is greatly appreciated.

  1. you should stay in Fajardo. go to vieques and culebra islands, its beautiful!

  2. The El Conquistador is beautiful.

Fajardo is very nice, but you'll be pretty limited to your hotel.

San Juan is great, a lot of bars and restaurants you can go to, a lot more options than Fajardo.

I would stay in San Juan, and do maybe a catamaran day trip in Fajardo.

  3. If you're looking for the Caribbean feel... then stay in Fajardo. If you're looking for culture/history then stay in Old San Juan. As a City San Juan can be a bit hectic. I would stick to the tourist areas, specially if you haven't been there before.

  4. El Conquistador,Fajardo sounds nice. But for your anniversary you can try something more secluded and romantic like Vieques Island. check out this hotel. http://www.hixislandhouse.com/

  5. Just got back a few day ago and celebrated my 23rd anniversary.  We had a great time but we stayed in Fajardo at El Conquistador only because it has its own private beach for it guest. Also you can go down to the marina and go to the local restaurants were everything is made from scratch. You can always take the ferry to go to Culebra beach which was rated the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by the travel channel.

  6. Well,

El Conquistador is perfect for celebrate the anniversary, is a very romantic hotel with the most amazing view. You have over there a private island beach (Palominito, the hotel take you over there by boat), water park inside the hotel and one of the best golf course in the island. You are able to visit the bio bay, see the lighthouse of "Las Cabezas de San Juan" and the hotel bring to all the guest free transportation to the Old San Juan. For me is the best choice. By the way don't forget, one night eat at one of the best restaurants in PR, Isabella's is inside the hotel and is perfect for a romantic dinner. By the way the dress code is semi formal (no jeans or shorts allowed). Make a reservation in advance.

    Good Luck!
