I am taking an altern cert for teaching and have passed the spec ed cert. What can I do to get a job in TX?

i am currently thinking abou taking the Alternatine program in texas myself for special education. i am in Houston and there are many opening for special ed teachers. I was going to take Physical education but there are not as many openings. a P.E. teacher told me today that Special Ed  might be a good avenue to take. i only took one special ed class in college and was thinking about taking the Alternative program to become a special ed teacher. if you can let me know what you thought of the test? What resources you used to study for the test also how you liked the Alternative program an which one? Your comment will be greatly appreciared!
