I am taking fluoxetine and it is making me very nervuos and also very very depressed?

i am suffering too, i have done no work today and am spaced out having upped my dose to 40mg. you are not the only one suffering today on prozac love. peace!

Hi.  Dont worry.  Flouxetine, an SSRI, usually mimics the signs of depression during the first week of treatment.  It's like re-calibrating the release of nerve impulses in your brain so that your serotonin is stabilized.  Increased in serotonin levels in the brain can alter the mood.  After usually a week,  your friend fluoxetin is truly a happy pill.

If you just started or just increased your dose, hang in there.  It should get better soon.  If it doesn't, call you doctor.  If you've been on Prozac for some time and it's stayed like this or gotten worse, or worse after sometime with dose increases, you might want to read this.  It's on bipolar type II.  Antidepressants alone are generally not good experiences for ppl with bipolar.  Taking them also can be when bipolar first becomes clear.  Most likely, it's not an issue for you since the odds are very low.  I thought I'd include the link just in case.  http://www.psycheducation.org/depression...
