  1. Take her to Outback steakhouse and buy her a Fosters (austrialian for beer)

  2. Actually, much of the food Aussies eat is much like ours.

Breakfast - eggs, bacon, baked beans, fruit, Vegemite on toast.

Lunch - soup, pasta, fruit, wraps, kebabs, gyros

Dinner - Roasted or barbecued meat, meat pies, veggies, casseroles, salad, currie dishes

And don't take her to Outback - that's not Aussie food.

  3. ARE YOU GONNA BE IN BRISBANE?

    * IL CENTRO

    *THE CORO

    *CHINESE RESTAURANTS IN THE VALLEY

    *LA DOLCE VITA RISTORANTE

    *PEPE'S COORPAROO/NEWMARKET

    *MISS INDIA COORPAROO

    *BREAKFAST CREEK OR NORMAN HOTEL

    Hope that helps a little

  4. outback steakhouse?

  5. most Australians eat anything.  We don't really have traditional food like other countries but a BBQ is always a winner.

Since I don't know where in the US you live & will be taking your friend out to eat, not sure where to recommend you go, but if you can think of some in your area that may have some dishes similar to these ... I'm sure your friend will be happy.

  7. they're into steaks and seafoods. there are tons of seafood restaurants here.some also prefer oriental dishes but ask here to try new food to taste..she might like it and she'll be glad you introduced it to her.

  8. Outback Steak House pretends to be Australian.

  9. out back

  10. Well there is such a variety as far as cuisine goes in Australia- we have Italian, Indian, etc. I don't know that there is such a thing as Australian restaurants though in other countries.

I guess the good old Aussie tradition is a BBQ (though I am vegetarian!). So maybe put on a bbq for her, or make up a potato salad, and vege kebabs, with some nice beer or light white wine. So yeah, just a variety and warm and cold salads. Simple and easy but can be quite nice and we love eating it outside too.

  11. Why don't you ask her.  I think people from australia like varied international cuisines.

  12. Chili's

  13. Of course it depends on what's available in your area, but how about Outback Steakhouse?  It's sort of Australian-themed, and many Australians like a good steak, I've heard.

This is a long shot, but if you happen to be in the Baltimore area, there's a genuine Australian pub called Cobbers on

    Charles Street.

    Bon Appetit!

  14. Take her/him out for Cuban food. I hear that they serve a really great cuisine. !!

  15. Whatever you do, DON'T take her to Outback.

Australian food isn't exactly alien. It is a cross between British food and American food.

You know, you could just ask her what she's in the mood for.
