  1. Ask for someone in your class to tutor you, if that doesn't work you could ask your teacher to help you after class so she can help you understand. It may be horrible to stay after class, but just remember-laptop!

  2. Get in a math club/class after school, get a tutor, or ask your teacher for extra help after school

  3. Ask question Offer to stay after class to get help. If your school has tutoring tutoring get involved.

  4. I would definitely talk directly with your teacher to see if you can get extra help before or after school.  If that teacher can not do that for some reason, I would go to other teachers in your grade (even if they don't teach math) to see if they may be able to help you.  If none of the teachers come through, at least ask them for some resources (online, homework help by phone, library) that may be able to help you.  The principal can also be a good resource.  Also, what about friends who are good at math, or better yet, maybe a friend who is a grade or two above you to help out.

Your dad sounds like a good guy.  If he is willing to buy you a lap top, I would be really surprised if he wouldn't be willing to maybe pay for an inexpensive tutor.  Don't give up... math is one of those things where it takes longer for some people to get it, but if you keep trying, it will "click" in for you.

  5. ask your teacher right out if you don't understand something.

  6. go to library and gett books on math

  7. Let your teacher know that you don't get it.  Ask her to explain it to you a different way.  Let her know that you really *want to* understand.  Maybe she can give you special help after school, or have you moved to a class for kids who are having a hard time keeping up.

  8. During class always ask questions! Don't ever feel stupid because half the time a kid in your class will have the same question! Also ask your math teacher if she can give you extra help or extra work for practice. I know extra work doesn't sound like fun but it could help you get a laptop! You also might want to ask your dad for help or an older sibling cousin etc. Or someone in your class that understands the math lesson. Do your homework together (and no copying!) or study together. In the end you never know, you could get a laptop,a B in math, and  a new friend! Good luck!

  9. Daily do stuff like practice your multiplication tables and stuff like that. That may not help you with specific problems but it will keep your mind sharper which can help you do better in general.

  10. Consider looking into a tutor, and ask the teacher if you can spend time after school for extra help.

  11. Your school might offer free tutoring! Go for it, it's a lot of help. Or ask your teacher if you can stay after school for some extra help.

You can also contact me (email is on my profile) if you need help now.

  12. ok here are a few tips that may help you realise how to handle math.

First each thing you learn in math is just another block added to what you learned before. For example, multiplying is just doing addition, but faster, right?

Each thing you learn will be like adding on to what you have just learned in the lessons before.

  13. just listen and try to write down the things you think are important, do the homework for extra practice, pay attention, if you are unsure of the lesson the teacher has taught then stay after class and find a suitable time for you two to sit down so the teacher can explain it better after all that's what teachers are there for.  If you have tried all those things then ask around and see if there is a tutor or a peer that would be willing to sit down with you and explain things to you not just give you the answers because that won't help you when it comes to quizzes or test.  i really hope you can get that grade up =]

    best of luck =]

  14. hey i got a B in math. just try to listen ( if you already don't) and if you don't understand what your teacher is talking about, just ask. then maybe do after-school tutoring if you want.
