I am terrified of tomato sauce, whether it is on food or in a sealed bottle, I just cannot stand being near it. I panic and have anxiety attacks and feel the urgent need to scrub my hands etc. I can't even sit at the same table as someone that is eating something with tomato sauce on it. I work in a supermarket, so I have to handle sauce bottles sometimes and I get really upset about it and feel like I need to wear gloves or something, and I panic because my biggest nightmare would be if the bottle smashed all over me or near me. Even looking at an empty sauce sachet or a photo of sauce makes me nauseous and scared.

I am NOT afraid of the look or sight of blood, so I am not worried about the sauce because it resembles blood or anything, and I am fine with BBQ sauce etc.

  1. you ignore it and be the bigger person.trust me there are more immature, insecure, jelous, idiotic in this world that will try to put yopu down thinking it will bring themselves up.besides some peopel that tease you might have even worse fears.you have the right to fear w/e you want to.just ignore pointless conflicts and be on your way

  2. In my non-professional opinion, seems you have a cause in association with the product. Be it something bad that happened to you in the past and either the smell, taste or name etc brings back yucky feelings subconsciously.

You may have suppressed this memory that deep you don't remember.

You may like to seek out a professional practitioner like your GP, hypnotherapist or psychologist.

    Good luck and take care.

  3. see your GP/doctor about this and have it treated

  4. i hate it too!

its just your mind playing up

just tell yourself its only sauce nothing else i don't have to come into any contact with it at all

just keep telling yourself its only sauce! :)

  5. I dont know whats its called but you have phobia problems. Just stay strong and never worry about what ever people say. The more you worry the more you get nauseous. Also watch movies with blood and gore. this will sometimes help. also look at the color red. This may help get rid of it.

  6. You could rent that famous '70s movie, "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes".., if that doesn't work, well...
