I am the fastest bowler in Pakistan, claims http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Talha-c77400 – Cricket News Update
Mohammad Talha, the young speedster from Faisalabad, has claimed that he is the fastest bowler in the country at the moment and hopes to catch the eyes of the selectors once again.
The right-arm rookie made his Test debut against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in 2009, before being ignored by the national selectors. The 23-year-old got only one innings to showcase his talent, as the match was later abandoned due to the terror attack on the visiting team.
The Faisalabad-born has been performing exceptionally well in the domestic cricket since the last couple of years and was awarded with a place in the Test team last year, however, a back injury ruled the speedster out of the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
While speaking to Pakpassion, Talha expressed that he has learnt a lot in the first-class arena and now he is mentally and physically prepared to represent the country for a long period of time.
Talha believes in bowling his heart out, although the tracks in Pakistan are usually docile for fast bowling. The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-John-Crosthwaite-c41922 bowler also expressed that there is no fast bowler in the country who can bowl quicker than him.
“I have been playing first class cricket for four and a half years, so that experience has been vital in my development. Now that I am 23 years old, I feel that I am much physically stronger and also mentally tougher,” said Talha. “In terms of speed, I will
also say that at the moment in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 I am the quickest bowler even though bowling on domestic wickets is truly a ‘back breaking’ effort.”
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the list of centrally contracted players in May but ignored Talha, despite his brilliant performances in national cricket. Talha was expecting to be given a contract but the fast bowler is not fazed and wants to keep
working hard to regain a place in the Pakistan team.
“I am obviously disappointed at not getting a central contract but it is a matter for the PCB to resolve," he added.
The youngster has already picked up more than 200 wickets in the Quaid e Azam Trophy, which is evidence of his talent.
