Send an e-mail to the owner of the group ([e-mail]) about your wish. He/she is the only person to change it.

If you are the owner of the group first choose one of your members that is interested to take over the group.  Then go to the "Members" section and look for their information and then go in to the section that says, "Edit Membership".  In this section you will be asked if you want to change them to moderator or owner.  To change to Owner click on "Change to Owner" and then click "Save".

Then after that change your status to "Change to Member" and then unsubscribe from the group either by using the "Leave this Group" button in the upper right hand corner of the group homepage or send an e-mail to the group's unsubscribe address which will look something like this: [e-mail]

If you are not the owner of the group but moderating for someone else let the owner know that you are needing to leave the group and that you need their help in changing your status back to "Member" and then either leave from the "Leave this Group" button at the group homepage or the group's unsubscribe e-mail address.

if you're a moderator (not owner) you may not have the priviledge to add a new moderator and generally, owners replace them. I'm not sure what you mean by changing the moderator name-

to remove yourself as moderator click members list- click moderator tab- click edit memebrship below your ID- scroll to the blue Change to Member -and click, follow step. you will then be a member.

From the list on the left, click Members and locate the member on the Members page.

Click Edit Membership.

A little way down, click Change to Moderator.

Click on the Make Moderator button to confirm.
