  1. Well the easy part has to do with the software and less so the laptop itself. So the first decision is choosing the same OS that they have you use in school. Most likely MacOS, Windows XP, or Windows Vista. Stick to the same one and find a machine pre-bundled with it. I prefer the HOME edition of Windows instead of the Pro editions as far as simplicity is concerned. If it's a Mac, then there isn't much else to decide other than which model you can afford. If it's a windows machine, then I think HPs are the easiest in the way they lay things out. A lot of common things already have a button assigned and they bundle software that tries to keep the machine automatically maintained for you. The glidepoint mouse is also easier on novices than the IBM joystick thing.

  2. get an hp dv2810 us notebook entertainment pc. its pretty easy to use...to tell u the truth all computers are, except macs. they are a bit harder to get used to and to adapt to. but overall, they both fit every day needs.

  3. Get a Apple Mac! They can do so much and by the time you figure out how to use it its really fun what you can do. It depends what you're used to, I used to have a windows so it took awhile to get used to.

  4. I have a dell inspiron, and my sister just got the new dell inspiron. They're reliable and easy to use. Windows vista is a little something to get used to, but it's not too terrible.

If you go to the dell website you can customize what your computer comes with. It's kind of nice, because you don't pay for anything that you don't need.

    Good luck!
