  1. 1) Does it hurt?

Hurt is a subjective term, but as piercings go hand piercings are one of the most painful forms of body modification. But this ‘hurt’ period lasts only for a few seconds. What is most painful with hand piercings is when the body rejects the metal and begins to push it toward the surface of the skin. This can lead to scarring and infection. If this happens make sure to get a medical practitioner to look at it.

    2) Are you more likely to get an infection than any other body piercing?

This piercing is very likely to get infected and rejected due to the use of the finger daily.

    3) How long does it take to heal?

Hand piercings are nearly impossible to heal due to the hands movement. You can be lucky and heal them if you dont do any house work, work in general or drive.

    4) How much does it cost?

Contact your local piercing location for pricing. I would guess around $80.

    5) Could it heal back?

Of course, if you remove it and take good care of the piercing location.

  2. It hurts prety bad.At least it did when i did mine.but that was probably cause i did it with a tac.and yeah the infections high cuz u put ur hands everywhere.and its likely to reject within like 6 months.it probably cost like 45 dolars or more or less depending on where u go.And yes it will heal up just like every other piercing.

  3. Hand?? Yourkidding right?

  4. I personally don't have any experience with them but I'm assuming you're talking about hand web piercings. The risk of infection and bad healing is very high due to the fact that you use your hands everyday. Also, it's easier to get dirt in there and etc. I also heard that hand web piercings are permanent, but I'm not sure how accurate that information is. Whatever you decide to do, good luck!

  5. if i were you i would not do that. first of all i am positive it hurts alot. theres barley any "meat" on your hand it would hurt. second people might see you as no offense a freak  instead of unique i got that done.

    don't mean to be harsh.

  6. Think about how often you use your hands.  It's like the number one area that comes in contact with germs, bacteria, etc.  So common sense should tell you that yes, it's much more likely to get infected.  And chances are that in such a high movement area it'll never fully heal and will probably reject, which can leave an ugly scar if it's not taken out as soon as you see the signs of rejection.

I have no idea about price or pain since both seem like it wouldn't be worth it in the end.

  7. Wait, so a surface piercing?

Well take into consideration that this is a piercing on your hand and that you use your hands, every day. It'll be much easier to be ripped off or caught in clothing or other jewelry. If you want a price, go to a piercing/tattoo shop, and they can give you an estimate.

It would probably heal up just as any other cut would, and is going to hurt just as any other piercing would.
