I am thinking about going self-employed. I get Carer's Allowance cz of my disabled child- will I lose this?

An tax advisor said to check re: self-employed rules cz they maybe different than when you are an employee. Thanks

  1. If you earn over 95 pounds per week after tax and expenses your Carers Allowance will stop


  2. I think the same rules apply whether your self employed or employed......you can only earn so much and if you go over that your carers allowance will be stopped....contact who you get your carers allowance off and they can tell you how much you can earn before its stopped.

  3. If your income is over £70? approx per week, yes you will loose it. Doesn't matter where the income comes from.
