I have a friend in Belfast who says they will take me all around even to Dublin. What is the weather like in late October? I heard rainy, but is it cold?

  1. Basically the weather in Ireland is unpredictable all year round. But on the plus side, we are friendly and we know how to show visitors a great time. Come on over and have a ball!!!!

  2. rainy and cold all year round i'm afraid, except for the two weeks of summer.

  3. I was in Ireland twice in December (December 1999 and 2005) and once in April (2004).  Both winter and spring were cold. (around 40 degrees F in the daytime and low 40's/high 30's at night).  The rain was fairly constant too.

I would definately bring a warm coat or jacket and an umbrella.

  4. It can get pretty cold in October in Ireland and  wet as well.  Yet, in the south it can be rainy one minute and sunny the next. Of course Dublin is a bit of a drive from Belfast, so the weather will differ. I guess you know that Belfast is regretably part of the U.K and not part of the republic.

  5. During the summer it can have beautiful weather and if you are lucky September and October will be calm. I love it Clonakilty, West Cork, in the south.  It has beautiful beaches so I'd definatly recommend coming here like Inchadoney which, if you get a calm/good day, you'll spend hours relaxing, maybe on the beach or maybe at the luxury Lodge and Spa hotel over-looking it.

  6. Yes, Yes, and all year round!lol
