I'm American and my college offers courses that are transferable from Kingston University in London. I am thinking of maybe going next summer for a month for a summer class or two. Does anyone know of/go to Kingston? Do you think I should go? I've always wanted to go to London. =)

  1. Hey,

I'm not sure your credits will transfer, since the higher education system in the U.S. is different from the UK.  In the UK they do not follow GPAs nor do they attend college for 4-years as we do in the states. You should inquire to the admission's office and ask if they would, deppending on how long you wish to say. A month for simply 1-2 classes is really kind of like taking a semester abroad. If you do this, your school in the U.S. needs to have a program that can send you there and then your credits will count towards your degree.

I'm a U.S. student obtaining my Master's Degree at the University of London. I have not heard of Kingston University, so I really can't comment on the quality of it. Since there is a lot of stuff you need to do like passports, student visas/entry clearance, paperwork etc, you should really consider is it something you really want to do. It's expensive here and there were many steps I had to go through in-order to get here, but I recommend it to anyone who takes it seriously.

    Good Luck!!

  2. why not go??? sounds like a great opportunity!!!
