I am thinking about transfering to csus, where is a safe place to live near csus.?

I am looking to pay around 750 a month in rent and would like to be in a safe area.

The areas around Sac State are full of college students.  There are several apartment complexes on Howe Ave that are filled with college students.  These are good because the shuttle goes there and you don't have to drive to school.  They're also located near grocery stores, etc.  If you have the opportunity to come to Sacramento before you transfer, you can apartment hunt then.  Good luck.
