  1. The van is virtually the same as a VW Lt. The engine and I think gearbox are different. My company has 5.One has done 250,000 miles on its original engine and gearbox, its partner bought at the same time had a second hand engine fitted at 140,000 when an idiot driver would not stop to top up the water level when a head gasket sprung a " small" leak. The other 3 have all just gone over the 100,000 mark two are only 2 years old. So, yes they are spot on. Forget the offering from Ford, they will rust away and will never do the mileage the VW  have done, and , before you ask, we have 1 Transit and previously had 2 others just over 4 years ago.

  2. Not an expert on vans, but the company I used to work for had a fleet of sprinters, they were so unreliable that they eventually replaced them with good old transits, which were much better.

  3. belting vans...regardless of mileage...take it for a spin[inform seller you want to hear it started from cold]...as long as theres no major knocks/puffs of smoke ,buy it.
