I am thinking of buying a creative zen 4gig media player

Question

I am not up on these media players and was wondering if they are easy to load with movies etc .I am going on holiday by coach next month and would like to watch some dvds whilst I travel. I dont understand all this avi and dvis etc

is it easy to learn or do you need a nerd with degrees to put media on these contraptions.

Could some one inform me in layman's terms, a fifty something yr old technophobic could understand please

im the same as you! i got one this year for my birthday from my boyfriend, and they are easy to use. you just basically connect the cord supplied with the zen to your computer and it will pick it up, open the folder and drag the movies/songs etc into the folder, when you unplug your zen they will all be on it.

as for the avi/divx stuff, if its not compatible with your player, there is a thing on the computer when you plug the zen in, it will convert the videos for you so you can play them.

i will never buy another creative product ever again, i had the WORST experience with my vision m and so many problems with the batteries. creative labs were not very helpful and did not explain anything to me.

i don't know if they've gotten any better than when i dealt with them but i reccomend getting an ipod, its much easier
