  1. hondaa and yamaha are great 125 bikes but don't get any makes that you haven't heard of

  2. honda

  3. DON'T buy anything whose name you cant pronnounce...

avoid china, tiwan and korea... yes they can build em, but honestly, theyre junkers waiting to break down...

buy a Honda 125, or a Yamaha... i'd rather have a 10yr old honda CG than a new china ripoff.

and you can get one for a few hundred quid, and more importantly, it'll last, and it wont breakdown.

  4. I had a Honda CG 125 for a year before I passed my DAS..... great for getting around on...indestructable if dropped!!  So cheap to run and easy to service.

Much more economical then a bigger bike and for town riding and commuting a pretty safe bet. They also hold their value really well. A year on I got back the same amount I paid for it, even with the odd scratch added!

  5. i bought a china made bike it was a 200 cc motorcyle for $2000

in 2006 i went to honda when i was shoping and it was $4000 and it gets 99 mpg  still runs good

  6. All the Japanese bikes are very reliable and inexpensive. At 125cc you are likely to get a dirt bike. Move up to 250cc to get a street bike.

  7. Probably only one bike capable and available and fits your needs, a Honda CG125 100% reliable, good spares situation and plenty around , runners from £100 taxed and motted from £200 ish, can't go wrong

  8. your looking for a honda cg125..not one ofthe nicest looking bikes, which is a good thing cos the thiefs wont look twice at it...super reliable ,very cheep to run [£15 tax per year, under £100 insurance,60 mpg]...or a mean looking dtr125...

    hope this helps.

  9. I am in the same fix. I don't know whether it is better to get a little motorcycle style thing or the moped scooter thing. I talked with a dealer and don't believe a word those salesmen say. Nobody has in hard numbers on reliability and stuff like they. If they think you want a purple one that is what they will say is reliable and the best idea. Still looking, myself. I want one of those pure electric scooters but have never seen one. Mayby in German but not in the USA. Not one that will go fast enough to go in traffic. Just some to go to work and back that don't need mixing fuels and don't break down. They must not want to sell a thing like that. It needs to go up to 50-60 and range of about 120 miles for me. They probably want only sell something fancy with a big price tag. It was times like this the VW Beetle made history. So maybe some politicians will give somebody some incentive to make my street legal electric scooter before too long.

  10. Buy a new Pulse Adrenalin, the model with front and rear disc brakes. Find them for sale in the yellow paper Ad Trader, in Bridgend £1399-00

  11. I wanted the same as you... I ended up with a Kymco Agility 125.  Kycmo is about the most reliable scooter manufacturer there is and have been around a long time.  Their agility model is one of their cheapest models and I paid exactly 2k Brand new (not including taxes for registration).  I have about 1000km on it now and have had absolutely no problems.  It gets about 90mpg and runs 60-63MPH top speed.
