This would be my first smart phone. I currently have a Motorola Slvr and I love its small size. I have no preference when it comes to which blackberry I get. I'm on at&t, and the only blackberry I don't want is the 8800 due to its lack of camera. I would like to keep the price at around $150 but I could go up to $200 if necessary.

  1. Go for the Curve (8310) it is larger than the Pearl, but if you look at some previous answer posts, you will see that many people are unsatified with their Pearl. It has a camera.

  2. I have the curve LOVE it and its internet service seems to be faster than all the other ones!

             Go for the curve!

  3. If you do prefer a smaller size pda, then a pearl would be good, but otherwise, most people with Pearls eventually end up getting a Curve.

  4. Oh, go for the curve. I have that and it's great. Bluetooth, camera, internet access, and the battery is very strong. You also can charge it on the computer and transfer songs, making it an mp3 player. thats what i did

  5. I would probably recommend the Curve 8310 or the Pearl 8110 or 8120. I am currently using the Pearl 8120 on T-Mobile and really like the device. It is smaller than the Curve, which was a plus for me. Since this is your first BlackBerry, I would probably recommend the Curve for you. It does have the full QWERTY keypad and larger screen. However, the Pearl 8110 and 8120 come with out-of-the-box video recording, while the Curve does not. You will need to upgrade the operating system on the Curve to the 4.5 OS in order to get video recording.

You also might want to wait about a month as AT&T should be releasing the BlackBerry Bold. This device will have the newest 4.6 OS on it, and will include a camera, Wi-Fi and GPS on the device. It will also have 3G capabilities for faster data.
