  1. they are mostly not that energetic they love to eat and sit on your lap.  they dont need that much exercize, they get most of it by chasing balls around the house.

  2. needs a lot of training azizagirl.com

  3. Puppies usually wake up early, play hard, and get dirty. It's very easy to get them sick, so don't feed them human food until it gets older. They like to chew on things so make sure your laundry is somewhere where the dog can't get it. I hope this helps you and good luck!

  4. hmm. Well i have a male pug. He was a GREAt puppy, but at some point he developed a rebellious attitude- haha. He started peeing on everything and disobeying. He wasn't that hard to control, because hes so small, but still. Now he is 6 years old, and he is calming down, but still pees a lot. he also sleeps  A LOT. But sometimes, he gets REALLY playful. We have a 6 year old yellow lab, who we got at the same time as the pug, and they get along great.Hes a great dog though!!! I love him!!! he is actually my brothers. I think part of the reason he's misbehaving is because my brother had him at college, and he became a "party dog" haha... i guess hes going through withdrawl? anyway, they are great dogs.

He was the CUTEST puppy ever. My sister has a boxer puppy who is 7 weeks old, and they get along until the boxer starts bothering the pug.

    hope this helps!

  5. Pugs are the BEST. I can say this truthfully since I have one. They're really just there to love you, and so adorable!

  6. well, if you like ugly fat dogs that slobber, then they are prefect. but expect to have it too long, as they die quite faster than most dogs.

  10. Pugs are the cutest puppies. They are lovable and will entertain you around the clock. To put it bluntly they are clowns. Full of energy and always on the move. If you want a dog to just lay around and sleep than you don't need a pug. They love to play and are full of energy.

  11. Pugs are excellent, but they do have lots of health issues. You could fix those at a early age though.

  12. they look like they were hit square in the face with a shovel.

  13. I think your boxer will have a lovely snack.  Pugs make a lot of noise wheezing and have breathing problems because of the smushed face (bulldogs too).  Personally, I think you'd be better off with something a little bigger and a better companion for the boxer.  That being said, pugs certainly are popular, so I'm sure many will disagree with me.

Oh, and like the first guy said, please adopt if you can.  I got my last pup through this site and found a lot of the agencies and rescues to be great people... www.petfinder.com

  14. I have two pugs and they are wonderful.  We love them to do death.  Pugs are extremley friendly and adorable.  As far as puppies, they are just like any other puppy that likes to chew and play at first.  They do slow down a lot at around 1 and a half and then they are really chill for the most part.  Some pugs have breathing trouble, but I have fortunatley not had that problem.  However both of mine have allergies and apparently that is not too uncommon for pugs.  They often get ear infections and you have to make sure to clean out their wrinkles.  But they are really good dogs.

  15. Most Pugs are born by Cesarean section because their heads are so big.  Pugs are generally friendly and good natured but the males can be very macho with other dogs which can get them into medical emergency trouble.  Don't get a male to go with your other male dog.  Pugs' big eyes are prone to popping out of their sockets if the dog is handled too roughly (this includes rough play).  This is a medical emergency.  Pugs don't like to have their tails messed with.  They will put up with it to a point but enough is enough, and they will let you know.  Pugs shed and need regular brushing.  Pugs, with their short noses, do not do well around dust, fumes/sprays or particles in the air (sawdust is an example).  Some Pugs are born with nasal openings that are too small.  It requires very costly surgery to correct this.  It is best to buy a Pug from a reputable breeder  so as to avoid as many hereditary problems as possible.  As with all breeds with floppy ears, Pugs may be prone to ear infections.  Go to AKC.org to find a list of breeders near you, also Pug rescue is listed there.
