  1. Venice... Such a beautiful, haunting city... Been twice and and plan going back many many time...

One tip DON'T sit on the chairs in sit peter's square..50euro a cocktail 20 euro for music!

  2. I can't believe I have to say, but MILAAAN! You guys will love it.

Just don't go any earlier than september, as the place shuts down in august as everyone is on holiday. By September everyone should be back, but I think its the same with any city in summer in Italy at that time of year

  3. come to turin (in the north west)!!!

here we have mountains 50 km far and sea 200km far (for Australia shouldn't be a lot).

here you can eat very very well (as in all italy), the city is beautiful and not too noisy

  4. well first of all they do have fettucini alfredo there :D

secondly u must visit florence for its many arts and and quality of life is very outspoken there!! its so beautiful ...trust me i have been to italy 4 times and my parents and i go to they're home town which is perfect for early twenties, the guys there r awesome!!! and sooooooo hot and if ur not form italy, they like you even more, its crazy!! no matter how ugly u are!! its in La Regione di Calabria ( south italy) the town is called Grimaldi

  5. Firenza...Florence...visit Il Latini restaurant, you will need reservations! Get there very, very early. Wonderful dining experience. You can spend weeks in Florence, the Uffizi art museum is not to be missed. Enjoy, Ciao!

  6. The recommendation would be to take me with you. lol

How about Florence.  It was nice there.... but that was over 20 years ago.  I need a refresher course!  How about Sicily? I am sure that has changed too since I was there.

  7. Reggio di Calabria....nice place and in the south...you can also catch a ferry to Sicily which isnt far....and its warm too.

  8. florence, all of the tuscan cities. they dont have fetucini alfredo in italy....i know, it shocked me too

  9. i'm italian and i suggest you to visit Tuscany,it's simply wonderfull,my fav region in italy

Florence and Siena are classics and shall be on the top of the list, plus there are a lot of medieval villages that really deserved to be visited, check them:

    Pienza

    San Gimignano

    Volterra

    Montepulciano

    Monteriggioni

    Pitigliano

    Sorano

    San Quirico D'Orcia

great landscapes too, check on google images the "val d'orcia",is the valley around Siena's hills.Beside Siena and Florence that are the main touristic cities, the city of Lucca  can be a good destination.destinations on the sea can be the islands of Elba,Giglio and Capraia, very clear water and nice hinterland

Always in the north part of Italy i would recommend you to visit the Cinque Terre in the region Liguria.the Cinque Terre are 5 coastals villages very popular among tourists:

    Vernazza

    Manarola

    Monterosso al Mare

    Corniglia

    Riomaggiore

Another beautifull and popular fishing village in Liguria is Portofino.the main city is Genoa, with a beautifull old city and many characteristic carruggi (those little streets in the historical centres of many italian cities).Genoa has one of the largest aquarium in Europe, worth to be visited

i live in Lombardy and good destinations here would be the city of Mantua and the lakes Lake Garda and Lake Como, with their villas and beautifull sights.worth seeing the fortified town of Sirmione on the Lake Garda. At lake Garda there is also Gardaland, one of the most popular theme park in Europe,is so much fun where to spend a day! Milan is ok, better if you want to shop

in the region Emilia Romagna worth seeing are Ravenna,Bologna and Ferrara and the ministate San Marino

i've visited mainly the north and centre of Italy, but i would definetely recommend Sicily for the south,it has great sea, great archaeological sites and good cuisine. The Isole Eolie (Aeolians Islands) are a paradise, the water is so clear it leaves you breathless

about Apulia i would recommend  its southern part called Salento, and the pictoresque village of Alberobello with its famous Trulli,i've been there in summer there were many english tourists so i guess is kinda popular among english.Castel del Monte is a popular site too.like Sicily Apulia has  beautifull islands, the Tremiti islands

btw to check all these places,i suggest you to use google earth, there are loads of pics for everyone of them so you can have a better idea of how the place looks like, all the pics are recent and were all taken by tourists,in my opinion google earth is better than using google images or looking to the websites' galleries.

thank you for choosing Italy twice! i hope you'll have a great time here with your friends!

  10. you should try Bari, Tuscany or Matese all nice areas!!

  11. You've been everywhere! My parents can't afford it.

I'd go to a new country but frankly, feel grateful your going anywhere this summer apart from your garden

  12. I lived in Naples Italy for two years on the navy base.  Try Caserta Veccia near Naples.  It's a small town that has resturaunts, a castle.  It's a lovely place.  It's one of those mideval places.  Have fun on your trip.

  13. Try Le Marche region. It's beautiful and off the tourist routes.

    Enjoy!
