Oh you will love it its in the country it is quiet,there are ramblers go through the village,we go for days out there i envy you.where are you moving from?

Do you like potholing? Not a lot of night life.

Spent first 18 years of my life in neighbouring Lake District. Nice to visit. To live (vegetate)? I don't think so.

I am dying to know why you are moving there. the area is very beautiful but hardly teeming with job vacancies. Some of the house prices can be high as you are in a National Park. Not sure where the nearest supermarket is either so dont expect a great choice of goods. Cinema? Bowling? Night Club? Hmm. Plenty of great pubs in the area though. I used to live over the hill in Newhouses, near Horton. Lots of great memories. I wish you luck.
