  2. Cheerleading takes a lot more time and effort than many people realize.  You do have to be somewhat flexible, but you can learn that and practice.  Stretch everyday!  I'd say ask your sister for some help with basic cheer moves and then try out.  It can be more difficult than most people realize to get your arms and legs in perfect angles.  All schools are different in how they handle the audition process, but my particular high school was not super competitive so we didn't need to know how to do back-flips or anything to make the squad.  You'll need to have some sort of rhythm - so if you aren't really all that coordinated you should start working on that!  Also, if you're small, keep in mind they may use you as a flier - are you afraid of heights?  If you're a little bigger, you'll be a base to stunts and have to support girls that are flying up in the air, etc.  I cheered my Sophomore year in high school, and it was hard but very fun and rewarding too.  It's not for everyone - don't listen to the haters that couldn't make the squad and so they think all cheerleaders are dumb.  It takes guts, talent, and a lot of sweat to be good.  But with the right attitude and determination and if you practice I'm sure you can make the squad and be a great cheerleader!  Good luck!

  3. dont do it.

  4. You should do it! Its so much fun, and you can make a lot of friends. I've seen a lot of un-flexible people do it before, and they are still good.

  5. You can with stretching over time, make yourself more flexible. If you've got the spirit and the dedication, go for it.

  6. mexican waves are much more appealing, and easier to get involved in!

  7. cheerleading isnt all about being flexible or being able to tumble. I am cheerleader and I can barely do a cart wheel. It's mostly about smiling, yelling loud, being sharp, and having fun with it.

I say just practice, maybe ask your sis for some pointers.

    good luck :)

  8. i think its a little to late to start cheer now.

cheerleaders have experience and are flexible.

you can try your best at it though:]]

    good luck
