  1. A good theme can be money tree. check at http://best-gifts-ideas.blogspot.com/200...

  2. LifeisGrand-

I am at work otherwise I would list off a bunch of fun games.  This website is the one that I will be using for my sisters bridal shower:   http://www.bridalshowergamesatoz.com/

I used their 'sister' baby shower site a couple of times and their games are absolutely hilarious to play!  Everyone at the shower had a fantastic time.  From the looks of their bridal shower games they will totally be a hit at any shower.  GL with your shower!

  3. Wedding Shower Themes

Time of Your Life - Best times

Adventurer Theme - Life is an Adventure

How Sweet It Is - Build around life is sweet, candy, special moments

Building a Future Together - Thing you build and create (do crafts, share memories, maybe build something)

I like the ones that were above and may help give you other ideas.

Partner these with Get to Know You games, Activity games and paper and pen games over 40 games here.

  4. Famous Couples Theme Bridal Shower

This is a lot of fun! All the games and gifts can be related to the famous couple whom each guest was assigned. One of the games you can play is the Newlywed Game with a few real couples and non-couples.

    Wine and Cheese Tasting Shower

A wine and cheese tasting shower is fun. Purchase two to three bottles of two to three different types of wine: a Merlot, a Piesporter and a Chardonnay, for example. Throw a couple of bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling cider into the mix. Serve cheese, grapes, crackers and other finger foods. Great for a standard bridal or couples shower.

Give Her "A Pounding" At Her Bridal Shower

At a "pounding", each guest is asked to bring one pound of any household product (flour, sugar, detergent, etc.) Then, the guest has to find a gadget or accessory to use with that item. It is a lot of fun, and you can received some really unique gadgets and tons of food!

    Shower For The Seasons

A great theme for a bridal shower is "Shower for the Seasons." Each guest is assigned a season when they RSVP. The gift they bring is one that can be used during their assigned season. You can be very creative with this theme and it gives the happy couple a great variety of gifts, no matter what season they get married in. For example, for the spring season a picnic basket with supplies; summer - beach supplies; fall- place setting of china/dishes for Thanksgiving meal; winter- mugs, hot chocolate, soup bowls, etc.

    Mood Theme Bridal Shower

The invitations included a mood of the bride. For example, the bride-to-be is in the mood to clean or for romance. This can be a blast and you can receive a lot of different gifts.

Game of Life Theme Bridal Shower

You can scan pieces of the game Life® for invitations, etc. Each person can be given a career card and asked to bring a gift that went along with the career they were given. It can be a lot of fun to see everyone's creativity. You can also have everyone write down advice for the new couple based upon their career and bound it in a book for the bride-to-be to keep.

    "Entertainment" Bridal Shower

For couples who like to entertain.  You can imagine how costly it is buying games for the new generation. Couples can receive lawn chairs, barbecue utensils and games, puzzles, beach towels, flip flops, sunglasses (nice ones too), chess, checkers playing cards, you name it!  It is simple because there is sooo much to chose from. You can even receive a special edition of some popular board games! This is really a great idea.

    Patio Party Shower Theme

This was an idea submitted on bridal thread.  We were honored with a "couples shower", the theme was Patio Party and each guest brought a gift that we could use in our patio. We received very clever gifts including a ten gallon hat that held a large ceramic dip dish while the brim of the hat held chips, vegetables etc. Other gifts were a portable gas grill, barbecue tools, beverage sets, tablecloths, napkins, and cookbooks. The shower was an outdoor patio party with appropriate foods served.

    Gift Certificate Theme Bridal Shower

Every guest purchases a gift certificate from the local shops in the bride and Grooms hometown so that they can utilize them throughout their first year of marriage (i.e. grocery store, department stores, specialty shops, restaurants).

    Party of Firsts Shower Theme

A fun couples shower where each guest is assigned to bring a gift for a specific "first" the couple will have, for example: their first Christmas together, their first time they burn dinner, their first night apart, etc. the possibilities are endless.

    Grocery Theme Shower

Finally, for the couple who has everything.  Do a grocery shower theme! Give each guest a letter of the alphabet, and have them either use a theme for the groceries they buy (having to do with the letter), or buy random groceries beginning with the letter. For example, for the letter "N", a number theme can be used -- buy 409, V8, Lever 2000, etc. For the letter "Y", a more difficult letter, the theme can be the color Yellow-- buy yellow items, such as mustard, yellow cereal, etc. "S" themes include Salads -- everything you might need for a marvelous salad, or soups, soaps, etc. This is a really fun theme to use!

  5. (THEMES)

1.FIESTA PARTY: First you have all the guest wear red & the bride in white or the bride in red & guests in white (looks great, especially in photos). For decor put up a few strings of those red chili pepper lights, sun glasses, sombreros, red & white table cloths. Serve some taquitos, nachos, guacamole, salsa & chips. Have margaritas, Coronas, pina coladas.

2.LUAL PARTY: For the decor buy gold fish  (or what ever fish works for you) put them in little glass bowls (they sell them at the 99 cent store) two fish per bowl. There are these torches that are suppose to keep mosquitos away at Walmart & they have a hawiian look to them. Put pineapples & coconuts on the food & drink tables. Serve shish-ca-bobs, rice with shrimp in it, fish, fruit salad with pineapples, cherries in a jar, & kiwis. Drinks, Daqueries, Malibu rum, caluas.

3.P.J PARTY: Have everyone come in their pjs, decor not hard, buy some fluffy pillows put them in different areas, if it's out side get creative & make a canapy with bed sheets.Put nail filers, nail polish, & the blind folds that people sleep with (sorry don't know what they're called) around the food & drink tables. Serve foods that you would expect to see at a slumber party, pizza, chips, different types of junk food. Drinks, spike a punch bowl, vodka with cranberry juice, Seagrems grape vodka with Welchs grape soda.

    (GAMES)

1.''PASS THE BANANA'' You get everyone in a circle & you give them a banana to pass around when the music starts, the trick is they put the banana between their knees & have to pass it to one another using only their knees. When the music stops the person that has the banana is out.

2.''DON'T SAY BRIDE'' As the guest arrive at the party you give them a pin & tell them they can't say the word ''bride'' or someone will take their pin. The person with the most pins at the end of the night wins (Declare a winner after you have finished playing all the other games first)

3.''DRAW A BRIDE & GROOM'' You give everyone 30 sec. to draw a bride & groom as best they can. The bride to be picks the winner but is not allowed to see them until she is going to choose a winner. (make sure everyone puts their name on the back of their paper).

4.''POP THE BALLOON'' Make teams of 2, one person sits on a chair & has a balloon on their lap, the second person sits & jumps up & down on the other person trying to pop the balloon, the first team that pops their balloon wins!

I hope this helps or at least gives you some ideas to play with. Good luck & have fun!!
