  1. for fabulous and cheap 50th birthday tableware, decorations and favours... visit:

  2. Black Forest Cake.

Pin the Colon on the body (A Katie Couric Favorite)

  3. that is so sweet of you to be planning a bday party for your mom. Don't go online buying. Ask your friends about party supplies or better yet, visit the www.ClickTheCity.com for the corresponding stores. Then after finding one, go to the shop personally.

As for the the fun ideas, no one can help you with that because nobody knows your mom better than you do. As long as it's from you, she'll surely love it. Goodluck and have fun!

  4. 1950's costume party

Think "Happy Days". Watch old reruns for ideas. Besides burgers, fries and shakes, meatloaf and mashed potatoes was big. Blow up pictures of 33's and 45's and remember ponytails, poodle skirts, oxford cloths button down shirts, black motorcycle jackets, convertibles American Graffiti.

  5. i got a bunch of cool stuff at oriental trading company online they  have great themes and fast cheap shipping.

  6. does your mom have a favorite movie? you could recreate that, with the costumes etc.

    or a favorite singer?

or a special memory (like a honeymoon in hawai or something?)

actually, a hawaian theme in summer is kind of easy to organise, with bbq and beach wear, and fun too. you could have a hoola, music, pineapple and coconut juice.

  7. Here's a website where you can find everything you need for party supplies http://www.pinatas.com/50_s_Party_Theme_...

  8. Hi...forget the online party suppliers...they aren't that cheap and the shipping is too expensive. Try the dollar stores they always have party supplies.

One of the posters mentioned a Hawaii theme and that is a great idea. It will also help to keep your party inexpensive.

BBQ some London broil marinated in pineapple juice then you can make chicken kabobs with chunks of chicken, pineapple and green bell pepper. Make some salad and some seasoned rice and your done.

Also if you will be giving out party favors maybe you can download online about 10 songs from 1958 and burn them on to disks and make a labels with your moms picture and give them out to your guests.

  9. well whatever you do...don't show her age unless she is cool with it
