I am totally lost on my gas bill...need help.?

Ok so I got my gas bill today, and I am totally lost here.

My bill is $17.63 for half the month. The statement says this includes $9.35 for an "SSO gas cost" yet it doesn't tell me what an SSO gas cost is. It also says it includes $6 just for using their company, which is lame.

My reading when I moved in was 51.4 and my meter reading 15 days later was 52.1 and they are going to charge me almost 20 dollars for that??

I am totally lost....does anybody know what an SSO gas cost charge is?? It seems like I used 5 bucks in gas but I'm being charged all these crazy charges.....any help??

Call your gas company. They can give you the answer and can also answer any other questions you may have. Unfortunately, the gas company and most other utilities do charge for just having the service....gas used or not, there is usually a minimum payment.
