if she has the correct documents then yes she can

that means having insurance, V5 & MOT if applicable.

she may even be able to wing it going with a insurance docuemnt which is outdated (for the old car, rather than the new car).. it would actually be illegal if the iinsurance was no longer valid...

personaly I'd wait untill you have the new insurance.. usually its covered immediately and the cover note arrives in a day. you may have an issue with the vehicle ownership (V5)
