I am traveling to Isreal in November on a Holy land Tour. While I'm there, I'm getting married. My question is this, what kind of Wedding dress/material won't get all wrinkeled and deformed by traveling. Any help or suggestions would be sooooooooooo greatful. Thanks in advance!!!

  1. How about jersey material in a long, sleek white sparkle type.  I had satin and brought it to england and it was a mess, we were ironing for hours.

  2. This is vital, your dress MUST be a carry on.  I've seen so many dresses get shredded to bits in dresser bags and such when they come off airplanes, and every time it's so sad.  Take it as a carry on.  Now as far as fabrics go, everything that will make a decent dress will wrinkle, but see if you can't get one that can be steamed.  Make sure to ask.

  3. Just ask yourself:

    WWJD?

By the way, you should save a ton of money on wine, haha!

    ;)

Seriously, though, ask them at the bridal shop and take a steamer with you.

    Congratulations!

  4. Ask the bridal shop which material will wrinkle the less.  And, ask the airline if indeed you can carry it on, I know they have special closets to hang up suits and dresses, if you tell them it's a wedding dress, they may let you take it on as a carry on.  If not, have a professional packer pack it and have it shipped ahead of time.  It will be a big box, but the dress will be filled with foam, and should retain it's shape because of the professional packing.  And take a steamer just in case, but make sure it's one that will work with the electric outlets in Israel.

  5. you pick the dress you want and just have a hand steamer with you to get any wrinkles out....easy enough
