  1. Most airlines will still fly as long as there is not lighting near the airport... I assume that you are flying Continental since you are leaving from Houston... They are decent about flying in weather

Be sure you contact the airline to see if any preventative cancellations have occurred.  Normally they will contact you but in the event of a large storm and many possible cancellations it might take some time for them to reach you.  Most airlines have already issued statements about allowing changes to your scheduled flights free of charge.  If your schedule allows you might want to consider flying on another day. In any event, call the airline before you leave for the airport to confirm your flight is on-time.  Oh, and bring a good book with you.  It might be a long day.  Good luck.
