  1. Gina is misinformed. Passports are NOT needed to travel to Mexico by LAND.  That requirement has NOT been implemented yet and there is no set date...but it is likely to be summer 2009.  You can see the site below to see that you need a photo I.D. and  proof of citizenship...which cn be EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate.
