Worried about if this hurricane would destroy the hotel, and then we'd be stuck with staying in a hotel that is being renovated.

  1. Great you ask girl. I'm a former resident of Cancun and I can tell you hotels after every hurricane are totally renovated in no more than two months. There is so much at stake that the hotel corps and federal government really work together even better than in places like Miss, Loui and other still suffering Cath. This last one even took away the lovely fine sand from most beaches!!! Three weeks after, some special pump-ships were brought in and filled up with sand all stone remaining beaches. Girl, even if services weren't working at a 100% you will be really thanked for showing there. When Cath hit the gulf, everybody in the US were invited to work, be it in the reconstruction or services, you know who were the only ones showing? ALL SORT OF HISPANICS and these guys still work 24/7 and never complain.

Don't change your plans, have fun and support your favorite destination.

  2. In December...well we are just beginning the hurricane season. Ask this question in a few month.

    Your friend in Cancun...

  3. Looks Like Dean is heading south....

  4. The hurricane is not going to hit Cancun. Hotels will be up and running by next week - by December noone will remember a hurricane :)

    Have fun!
