I have been told that many of the banks over there will charge me extra fee's. I would prefere to have access to cash/euro's/etc...while I'm there without extra surcharges. Thanks!

  1. Try USAA

  2. none of the american banks operate in Ireland

the 3 main banks in Ireland (republic) are found in nearly  every town over 1,500 people:

    Allied Irish Bank

    Bank of Ireland

    Ulster Bank

then there are a number of smaller banks such as:

    ACC bank

    Anglo Irish Bank

    Bank of Scotland

    Permanent TSB

    National Irish Bank

You are likely to be charged roughly 2 euro (~$2.50) per transaction using an american card in an Irish ATM

unless your ATM card has the Cirrus or Maestro symbol on it, it probably won't work outside the USA.  Credit cards are widely accepted here in ireland especially mastercard and visa

  3. you will be charged by every bank for using the atm over here it is unavoidable.
