I am traveling to Italy and Greece and would like suggestions on fictional reading set in these countries?

Corelli's Mandolin is set in Greece but it involves Italians as well, or inspector Montalbano Mysteries series by Andrea Camilleri, a series of novels set in Sicily. The Leopard, by Giuseppe di Lampedusa, set in Sicily; A Man by Oriana Fallaci (the writer is Italian but the book is set in Greece, during the dictatorship).

Captain Corelli's Mandolin!  And don't watch the movie because it will highly disappoint compared to the book, or at least don't watch it until after readying the book (the scenary is beautiful in the movie though)
