I am traveling to London and want to go to see horse races what is the closest track?

kempton park has been racing since April, they are building a quarter horse track in London as we type.

The courses within the proximity of London are: Ascot, Epsom, Sandown, Kempton, and Windsor. There is an evening meeting every Monday at Windsor throughout the summer and depending upon when your visiting London this may be the only meeting available to you, however, you won't be disappointed.

There are several racecourses near to London, the closest being Kempton, Sandown, Epsom (which is now closed for redevelopment), Windsor and Ascot.

If you are prepared to travel a bit further afield Newmarket is about a 1 hour train journey north of London.
