And possible paris as well? does anyone know of small organized 2 or 3 day trips, or is the euro rail the best way to go? so confused. i will be going in sept. 07

Well, first, Spain is not that close from Italy.  Just look at a map

Rail or cars would be a good way to visit (but dangerous drive in Italy)

2 or 3 days trip??? You won't see much.  Visit Spain instead of, like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Majorca, etc...
