I am looking for the safest route, not worried about speed. Nice wide, straight roads with the fewest hills, etc. would be ideal. I don't want to cut through the States ... I am looking for the best Canadian route.

  1. There isn't a lot of choice, as a quick look at a map will show you. The Trans-Canada all the way to Sudbury, then south on 69 and 400 would be your best bet, in a few parts the Trans-Canada is your only choice. It has mountains through BC and narrow twisty roads through northern Ontario, no way around those things. Leave early and stop early for best driving and to avoid sharing the road with a lot of commercial rigs which often seem to start driving in the late afternoon.

  2. Sorry, you are looking for something that does not exit.

Half of your travel would unavoidably be through mountains, two lane, and windy roads.

  3. try google map or something. you might want to search for the widest highways or something like that

  4. Have you compared costs drop fee for the Uhaul  expensive gas etc. it may be cheaper and less hassle .Allso  CTV exposed U Haul  for safety reasons   Think about it carefully .Can you drive a large truck  with standard  transmission?  I used them once never again  . Check with the   BBB
