  1. I bring Sertraline, an anti-depressant, with me when I travel. Not once have I ever been stopped, travelling through Europe, Africa and the USA.

Airport staff ask you to have liquids and medicines in a small clear ziplock bag. Once you do this, there isnt a problem.

  2. travelling to Europe shortly, i carry Diazeapan for anxiety will i require any scripts from my doctor

  3. Normally it shouldn't be necessary, but I'd get them anyway if I were you, just in case. Some medications are chemically related to illegal drugs, and you don't want a drug hound "snuffing" you and landing you in jail just because you've brought your medication.

  4. It wont hurt to carry a script from your doctor.

Also, for Europe, as long as you have your tablets in a clearly labled container then I doubt you will have any problems.

I travel to Europe a lot and take Diazeapan and have never been stopped.  Saying that though, I usually only have 3 or 4 tablets with me for the purpose of calming me down when flying.

    Hope this helps

  5. As Europe is wide open to any one travelling, even Illegal Immigrants, I would say that you would have no problem with any drugs that are on prescription. There are no border checks at all which is why we in England are now being flooded with unwanted Immigrants who we are unable to send back what ever they do,

  6. get the scripts never hurts to be prepared

  7. Though it likely won't be a problem, you should always carry a copy of your prescription when you travel internationally and carry the medicine in its original container, just in case.  You might also check local regulations to make sure that your medication is allowed in the country.  For example, some asthma inhalers are not permitted to be imported into Japan.

    Good luck!

  8. Only places I ever heard of anyone being stopped with Diazepam are the US and New Zealand.  In NZ it is illegal to carry controlled drugs outside of their original container which has been printed with your name on it.  I live in Europe and since an airline incident a number of years ago, normally use Diaz for flying.  Have never been stopped.  Would probably be a good idea to carry the scrip. just in case. Bon voyage

  9. yes, because:

    a) customs could arrest you for being in possession of prescription drugs without a valid reason

    b) it would add to your anxiety were you to take the risk

  10. yes, you should.
