I am travelling to Scotland, and have a hard time with accents. Are there any movies/shows that may help me?

Any episode of the original series of Star Trek, or any of vthe movies.  Scottie the Chief Engineer has an Edinburgh accent.

In the later movies, the Klingons might help.  They all have Glasgow accents.

i am sure you won't have any problems...their accent is very nice & as somebody else said...ask them to slow down a bit...& they happily will!

Chewin the fat is class by the way (local slang for very good)

But if your over 18 and fancy a challange, watch the film "Trainspotting". Its as funny, horrible and tragic as real life can be, and the accents are very authentic.
