I am travelling to ireland (tipperary) next week. Will my U.K VISA ELECTRON card work at ATMs over there?

And will my U.K pin number still work and transfer monies automatically from GB Pounds to Euro's??? Many thanks

  1. yes you can, i use my UK visa Electron, in the Bank of Ireland Machine, but your changed £1.50 each time you withdraw money, best bet is to withdraw a large amount say 150  or 200 euro, as you will only still get charged £1.50, dont withdraw something stupid like 10 euro, as you will still be charged £1.50

  3. you may have to inform your bank you are travelling and they will authorise the card for overseas use and the money you get out of the machines will be euros.

  4. if ur card displays the plus logo or cirrus logo it should work fine.....i used my mastercard with it's irish pin in the states & there was no problem.....you'll be charged conversion charges on credit card payments though & conversion & commission charges on any ATM withdrawals....
