  1. If you are trying to find a place where a person who cannot read, write or do arithmetic can get a high school diploma, I must say that I sincerely hope that you fail in your rather dubious quest.  If you are looking for programs that will educate someone to a point that they are able to pass a GED exam, I think that you will find your best resource to be your local community college.  They often teach remedial everything and offer GED programs.

If you are interested in working on math skills independently first, I recommend a series of math work books called, "Math the Easy Way" from Barron.  Here is a link:

  2. You may need to do some extra courses in reading, writing and maths before you go for your High School Diploma.

Try doing some English courses and Maths courses.

Once you're up to the level required for the High School Diploma then take those courses.

There may be courses in reading, writing and maths at a community centre or a community college/TAFE you need to check out their courses.

You can do this either by going to their websites or by visiting them in person. They should have some brouchures or papers on their courses. You may need to get someone else to read them for you though.

  3. The community college has programs for this person.  Most of the time they are free.  Depending upon the program and the individual's abilities, they may place him or her straight into a high school completion program or first place him into a compensatory or basic skills program.
