I had this frog when I was younger. I got it at a pet shop, they sold it to me as a tree frog of sorts. However, this was not a tree frog at all. It resembled a toad, but had smooth skin and really large eyes. I had him for about 4 years and he did not grow larger than a nickel. His color was shades of mottled browns and beiges. He was not a water frog. He looked a little like a spadefoot toad, but like I said, he had smooth skin and a tiny stout body, he was all eyes. Really cute, and I havent seen one since. Does anyone what this frog may be or if there is a book or website that contains all species of frogs and pictures of them? Thank you.

  1. Could it be a Brown Tree Frog? I think if it was sold to you as a pet frog recently- it would not be an endangered specie now. Here's a site for it

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_Tree_...

And I'm sure there is a book of some sort. Just ask for a book on frog species.

  2. mny amphibian speices have become extinxt by a worldwide speading funga disease so there is a chance it could be one of the 120+ spieces that have been wiped out

  3. i hope  this can help....
