  1. I wasn't very athletic my freshmen year. I started off by running at a good pace short distance maybe like half a mile every other day. Slowly I would increase that distance till I knew I could face that challenge. I'm up to four miles now =)

    Try eating healthier as well.

However, don't forget to stretch! and stretch good!! You don't want to pull any muscles.

  2. ok, to run fast you need a good lung copasity and strong legs. what helped my  lung copasity was doing this. Run 200 meters for 4 nights in a row. Then take a 1 day rest. The next night run 400 meters and do this for 5 days straight. Then take 1 day of rest. The next day run 800 meters and take a day to rest. The next night try 1000 meters. This will make you faster and be able to run it without getting tired. Dont stop running after you build up to 1000 meters keep going every other night to stay in shape. Walk around the house with ankle weights to build up your leg muscles

  3. First, you have to stretch a LOT. That will loosen up your muscles so they will be strengthened and you will be less likely to get injured by pulling.

Next, you have to work on different groups of muscles at a time. Your back, abs, thighs, quads, hamstrings and calves are crucial to running.

Last, you have to alternate your running schedule. For a couple days, work on running short distances very fast. The next couple days, run at a slow, steady pace for a longer distance, hopefully for 1.5 miles. Alternate walking and running. That is what marathoners do!

Most importantly, don't push yourself too hard! Most people can tell the different between muscles that hurt from working and muscles that hurt from injuries. If you think that you are injured, rest for a few days, and ease back into it.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Just run down your road untill you get very tired. Calculate how long this is, and try running farther and faster each day.

Just go for a run everyday. Cars have tools in them that you can calculate distances, so try using that at the end of your driveway and see how far a mile is. Then time yourself, and try harder and faster each day.
