I am trying out for varsity volleyball tommorow and..........?

i was wondering if any one had anypoiters like how to impress new coaches and how to make it look like im not swetin it <3 thanx chels

- concentrate on what the coach is saying and follow his/her directions carefully

- stay focused and show that you are willing to give 100% of your effort

- take responsibility for your actions, but don&#039;t apologize for mistakes, just learn from them and prove that you have

- footwork is essential...move your feet, always be on your toes in a ready for anything position....your coach will test your reaction time without warning

- encourage others and display a positive attitude

- before tryouts (and every game/practice from then on) - close your eyes for a few minutes and envision yourself in competetive play, executing every move with thought and precision....this will get you mentally prepared

- stay focused and have fun!

As a volleyball coach I look for girls who are go getters. Never complain and volunteer when I ask for one. Working hard and listening to me helps to. Be coachable.

Stay focused and give it your best. If you give it your best then if you don&#039;t make it at least you know that you gave it your all. Always think postive and you will get positive results. Stay confident and work hard even though you may mess up. Coaches like hard workers that are determined to play volleyball. GOOD LUCK!!!

be loud! talk it up on the court. cheer all the girls on. act like your having fun but don&#039;t be goofy. listen really well to what all the coaches say

just try your best at everything, even if it you can&#039;t do something - may the attempt.  The coach will be looking at your athletic ability, but he also wants someone that will be a team player.  So help out your teammates too.

Concentrate on the ball! Get into a postion that allows you to see it well and move your feet, work out for faster response. Allways use both hands while intercepting the ball. Good luck!

As a coach, I love it during tryouts when players do as they are instructed.   So PAY ATTENTION.   I also love it when players hustle to and from water breaks.   If they tell you to call the ball (mine!!!!) make sure you say it loudly - volleyball is all about communication and whispering doesnt&#039; cut it!   Be happy to be there - don&#039;t chit chat with friends while waiting in line - be on time.......HAVE FUN!
