my fiance had let some bills which were in my name go into collections which led me to fail the background check because of my credit. I paid off the bills that day that were in collections and then I was told that it would take awhile for my credit to "OK" and just because they were paid off it wouldn't matter. My question is how long until everything will clear so I can get the position??

  1. You may have to wait quite a while.  Not only does State Farm have to accept you as an agent, but, depending on state law, you may have to be bonded by a bonding company.  This is a situation of great trust because State Farm allows its agents to accept payments in cash from customers on behalf of the company.  If you are going to handle State Farm's money, you need to have a track record of being able to handle your own money.
