The mobile number starts with 04, is the number too long,

as I understand the Country code is 61 and the Area Code 2

for Sydney, the mobile number is 10-digits? starting with 04-2299-XXXX Please advise to place the call correct.

  1. Don't type the area code (that's for landlines).

Instead replace the 0 at the start with 61.

    For example, my own number: 0402 x*x x*x (10 digits) will become 61402 x*x x*x (11 digits)

    Hope that helps

  2. You need to dial 011 for International (from the USA), then 61 for Australia, then the mobile number without the first 0.

    So, it's 0116142299xxxx
